Practice Changes from 12 April 2021
It is with considerable reflection that I write this, my very last Newsletter for Teignmouth Osteopathic Practice.
Last year during the 1st lockdown I stopped treating patients but continued to manage the practice and thankfully, after instigating all the necessary protocols for coping with covid-19, see it return to a busy clinic.
The time has now come for me to let go of the business I began in the 1980s but I am so pleased to announce that Clare will be taking it over. She joined me approximately 10 years ago and I couldn’t think of anyone I would rather have to continue my legacy. She has become a good friend, is an excellent osteopath, conscientious, courteous, professional and always puts the care of her patients first.
So the Practice will be moving out of my house and back into town. From 12 April the new address will be:
Teignmouth Osteopathic Practice
Wealth of Health
26 Brunswick Street
TEIGNMOUTH
TQ14 8AF
The phone number and reception team will remain the same on 01626 779102
Those of you who used to see me for treatment before I moved the Practice home may remember the building as it is where I used to work – the former Richmond House Doctors Surgery. I was amazed when Clare told me where she had found to run the Practice from. She is even in the very same room I used to work in, although the place has been revamped completely.
I wish Clare all the very best in her continuing successful career and new business venture.
I also wish you all well and the strength to persevere through this strange time in which we are living. I know it has been a tough journey for many of you. Do take care of yourselves, keep up the exercises and keep positive!
Fond farewell
Sonia
Ps I’m not leaving the area so I may bump into some of you around town (not literally and socially distanced, of course!!)
Welcoming you to the New Premises at Wealth of Health
from Clare
From the 12th April I look forward to welcoming you to the new room at the recently opened Wealth of Health. Here I will be joining other therapists offering Pilates, massage and breathing workshops.
When you arrive at the building there is a buzzer to right of the door. Press for Teignmouth Osteopathic Practice and I will answer from my room and let you in. As you enter please use the hand sanitiser provided and I will meet you at the bottom of the stairs. There is a hand rail if needed and a toilet available on the ground floor and on the first floor. As you get to the first floor there is some seating to the left and the treatment room will be straight ahead and through the door to the right.
At the moment there is parking in nearby Brunswick Street car park or along the street itself as well as along the sea front. Any concerns or problems please get in touch.
Mike Harrison MOst
It was with some sadness that we said goodbye to Mike in early February 2021. He was with us for a year and a half and during that time we developed a good friendship. He was a very caring and conscientious osteopath too, always striving to give the best treatment and advice to see his patients improve or recover from their problems.
We wish him all the best for his future career in the Oxford area with his lovely young family.
JOSEPHINE MANTON DO DPO
What joy to find Josephine to help us out at very short notice. She has slotted in so easily.
She comes with a wealth of 30 years experience and treats both structurally ie using articulation and soft tissue techniques, as well as cranially. She is very experienced at treating babies and children having worked and taught at the Osteopathic Centre for Children in London.
She will remain with Clare and the Practice for the time being.
